I would like to proudly announce my candidacy for Sheriff of Colorado County, Texas. I have spent the last 14 years in law enforcement with a majority of those years at the Colorado County Sheriff's Department. I would like the honor of continue to serve this great community as your Sheriff.
I grew up in a small farming community not far from Colorado County and serving the community runs in my blood. My Great Grandfather, Marvin H. Buller, served as the Chief Deputy under Colorado County Sheriff "Boyche" Walker in the 1950s and 1960s. My Grandfather, Marvin "Buddy" Buller, Jr. served as a Texas Game Warden. It goes without saying, this is what I was born to do.
During my tenure at the Colorado County Sheriff's Office, I have held several different positions during my time from Patrol Deputy, Auto Theft Investigator, Patrol Sergeant, and currently Sergeant/Investigator. I have been extremely fortunate to work beside the longest-standing Sheriff of Colorado County, Sheriff R.H. "Curly" Wied, throughout my career, with his support, I was able to participate and train as a Special Response Team (SRT) member, Sheriff's Combine Auto Theft Task Force Investigator, and most recently, re-open a cold case to successfully identify the victim in a 1976 murder investigation. Although these are only a few achievements. I have obtained many others throughout my years of service here.
I am proud to live in a community where my children attend Columbus ISD's public school system, participate in local activities, and attend church in Eagle Lake.
My wife, Alyssa Marsalia Lindemann, an Eagle Lake native, also served as a Colorado County EMT for over 9 years and is currently a court clerk for Colorado County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4. Alyssa also serves as the Manager of the Whispering Oaks 4-H club, and it is a family goal to teach our children the importance of giving back and serving the community.
I have two daughters and one son, Dakota 11 years old, Payton 9 years old, and Carson 7 years old.
Although this is a brief introduction of who I am, I look forward to continuing the legacy of a well-distinguished Sheriff's Office.
